Business Executives Gather in Sydney to Redefine Leadership in the 21st Century

Dear Friends,

As you might know, our first Mindful Leadership Global Forum begins next Monday.

As we move into this special event, I’d like to thank you for your incredible response, your beautiful feedback and your words of encouragement!

A special thanks to those from the WakeUp community who attended our “conversation dinners” about a year ago.

Over and over, we heard similar feedback…

“Please create an event that inspires more wisdom and compassion in workplaces”“Hold events for those of us who are burningout in the 24/7 corporate world” and “Help inspire a workplace where I can be myself; where my boss values compassion and my inner life.”

In a couple of days, around 350 leaders from all around Australia will gather to explore a new kind of leadership – grounded in self-awareness, compassion and authenticity.

Our wonderful speakers are beginning to fly into Sydney from the likes of Stanford University, the Drucker School of Managementand the World Economic Forum. Locally, we will be joined by speakers from the AFL, the Melbourne Business School and visionary executives and CEOs from IBM, Virgin, Ninemsn and David Jones.

During the forum we will seek to redefine what “leadership” means in the 21st century. To pay attention to the whole human being. To prioritise mindfulness. To value relationships. To blend wisdom with technology. To value well-being. To demonstrate the relationship between self-care and high performance. To practice generosity. To create community. To be part of something larger than ourselves.

May it be of benefit.

Warmly, Jono
