“I was at a sushi restaurant when I spotted a young couple with their baby just finishing their meal. I told the waitress I would pay for their bill and asked her not to let them know who had paid for it. I just asked her to give them the Kindness card. The waitress asked me if I knew them and was quite surprised when I said that I didn’t. She actually struggled to understand why anyone would pay a stranger’s bill.
I paid the bill, wished the waitress a good day and left the restaurant and didn’t come back for a couple of weeks. Later that month, the waitress told me how stoked the couple was with what had happened and how such an act of kindness had truly made their day. She also said the people’s reaction made her super happy as well.”
