I’m thrilled to announce that our son, Max Fisher arrived at 10.45pm on the 24th of April.
Claire was a Goddess throughout the labour and I was in awe of her grace and power.
Max, since our first gaze, you’ve literally burst my heart wide open.
Thank you for your presence that calms my nervous system. Your rhythm that reminds me of a saner way to live – and your warm gaze that points to the loving nature of the universe.
Your natural radiance has already touched so many lives. You’ve made my niece cry, you’ve softened my nephews’ hearts, brought me and my siblings closer together and given new life to ageing grandparents. All in 2 weeks!
Max, may you never feel the need to prove anything to me, nothing. My only wish for you is to be comfortable being you.
I’ll do my best to be gentle. To laugh lots. To show you that’s it’s ok to cry, to make mistakes and to stand up for what’s dear to you.
I can’t wait to explore the most precious parts of life together – good books, trees, animals, music, family and salty water.
So here’s to introducing you to the world.
I love you forever.
Jono (ie. your gushing dad)
