Why CEOs Should Be Kind, Mindful and Gentle

Dear Friends,

One of the key learnings I’ve had since starting the Wake Up Project is the power of people speaking from their heart.

When people are real, courageous and let their natural warmth shine, it gives permission for other people to do the same.

The Mindful Leadership Global Forum is just such a space. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been meeting with our speakers. It’s been such a thrill to feel their passion and genuine desire to share from their hearts. To be honest and genuine. My prediction is that this event is going to be less like a conference, and more like a warm conversation with friends.

With less than 48 hours to go till the early-bird price ends, I wanted to share a video of some people who are pioneering Mindful Leadership in corporate America.

Watch this video where Arianna Huffington and Bill George, a Harvard Business Professor discuss, wait for it….why CEOs should be kind, mindful and gentle :)

The focus of the Mindful Leadership Global Forum is about fostering a new leadership style grounded in self-awareness, compassion and authenticity.

We have 20+ speakers from Stanford, Google, Facebook, World Economic Forum, David Jones, Ninemsn, Virgin, IBM, the AFL and the Melbourne Business School.

To make it easy for you, we’ve written a template letter for you to help you convince your boss to allow you to attend the Forum. All you need to do is fill in the blanks, print it out and make sure it gets the seal of approval by delivering it in person. Accompanying the letter with a cup of coffee is always advised too. :)

Thank you for being part of inspiring leadership to become more mindful and compassionate.

Warmly,

Jono
